Movie Review

I watched No Reservation in winter vacation with Meiko. This movie is American love comedy. The main character is Kate who is a chef and a perfectionist.
One day she lost her sister because of traffic accident. Then she began to take care of her sister's daughtor, Zoe. She cooked meals for Zoe, but Zoe would not eat. Kate was very depressed.
Then a new staff joined as a chef at Kate's restaurant. His name is Nick. His character is exactly opposite from Kate. However, as she work with him, she noticed that something lacking with her meal.

I thought this movie showed the importance of relationship with a lot of people. In fact, when Kate was depressed with her cooking, she met Nick and could notice something lack. In addition, I thought that food could make people relationship better after watching this movie.

  1. This movie looks interesting. Meal will have a very important role in our lives. It often gives chances to talk with my friends, family, and so on with enjoy eating. And, you said “meal can make people relationship better,” that is another importance of meal. So, I think meal will have infinite possibilities in different situations. I would like to watch this movie during spring vacation.

  2. This film looks interesting. It reminds me of a movie that I saw several years ago called "Chocolat." Johnny Depp appears in it as a gypsy who falls in love with a woman who has started an amazing chocolate shop in a sleepy, conservative French village. The woman learns how to appeal to the closed-minded villagers by making chocolate concoctions that awaken their hidden passions and talents. It's a very enjoyable and romantic movie. Johnny Depp is still quite young in it. It shows how sensuous and erotic food can be. You can view the trailer at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEzzbBc7Tw4 .
